Falling In Love

1 min

Falling in love is characterized by a profound openness. A willingness to be shaped inside and out by the object of our affections.

I wonder if we ever reach a point where we can no longer fall in love. Falling in love is characterized by a profound openness. A willingness to be shaped inside and out by the object of our affections. A willingness to question fundamental aspects of our otherwise stable identity.

I hope that I can continually fall in love. There is an aliveness and a sense of deep meaningfulness that accompanies new love.

We can fall in love with a person, a place, a culture, an idea, a possibility, an organization.

There is courage to opening up enough to fall in love with someone or something. It requires a robust vulnerability. It seems like people get jaded and become too cynical or guarded to be able to soften enough to fall in love.

"Cynicism isn’t wisdom, it’s a lazy way to say that you’ve been burned." - Nana Grizol
